Introduction

Net migration is the total number of individuals immigrating to a country, minus the number leaving that country and emigrating to another. Net migration tells you how much the total population is changing due to individuals coming and going.

Questions to Consider

  • Which of the three countries has the most absolute immigration?

  • Which has the least?

  • How do you account for the sharp spikes like the one in France in the early sixties?
